Application
Admission cycle for the 2020-2021 program year is October 1, 2019 - March 1, 2020
An application form is to be completed and returned to the Program Director of the School of Medical Technology with a $50.00 application fee. The application fee may be paid by cashier check, money order, or credit/debit card.
An official transcript from all colleges attended showing credits and courses which have been completed, attempted, or are in progress must be sent directly to the Program Director from the college.
An SAT, ACT, or GRE and TOEFL (if required) report must be sent directly to the Program Director.
Three references are required; References must be on forms provided by McLeod School of Medical Technology but may also have accompanying letters. Your references should include the Medical Technology or Biology advisor at your college, one science professor who has instructed the student in college and one employer if applicable. If the student has not been employed, the final reference should be obtained from another science professor.
The applicant will not be considered for an interview until the Program has received and processed all information described above.
Transcript evaluations will then be completed to determine if student is eligible for an interview. If eligible, the potential candidates will be scheduled for a personal interview. The interview consists of a meeting with the Medical Director, the Program Director, and at least one faculty member. It is important that the student is able to attend the interview; otherwise, the application cannot be considered.
The deadline for completion of the application process including the interview is March 1st. Normally all interviews should have been completed by the first week in March. Applications received after March 1st will be considered for the next Program year.
If the upcoming August class is not filled, applications received after March 1st will be considered for that class providing the student meets the criterion set forth in the student handbook or program brochure. Students are encouraged to begin the application process in the fall prior to their anticipated August entry into the program.
Preference is given to students from the Pee Dee area of South Carolina in accordance with the School's mission.
